On December 23, 2008, its mother company Pelican™ Products, Inc. acquired Hardigg Industries. The transaction, valued at approximately $200 million, is believed to be the largest acquisition in the history of the protective case industry.

Following the acquisition, the company now employs 1,500 people, operates in 12 countries, with 23 offices and 6 manufacturing facilities across the globe. The premium Peli Storm Case® brand is now part of Peli range of cases and the company released a standardised set of roto moulded products named the Roto-Pack offering.
